There are about 35,000 stray dogs in Moscow, but these are no ordinary stray dogs. These dogs have learned to work in packs to get food from humans, deciding which people are most likely to give them food. On top of that they know how to ride the subway. The dogs, dubbed "Metro Dogs", use not only their senses of sight and smell, but have actually been shown to understand the stop names announced by the conductor. Researchers have begun studying the unique pack structure developed by these stray dogs, where the alpha male is chosen based on his brain, not his brawn like typical wolf packs. For more on these extraordinary dogs you can read the full article here.
